tired of being lectured on here

  • Popular Post

I am really sick and tired of being lectured on this site...people assuming just because I was fat, that I had an unhealthy relationship with food. Not everyone was like this! Pre op, I never ate to excess because when I was full I would stop eating. (I was on a low calorie lifestyle change and stuck with it for years...I stuck with it so I wouldn't gain weight) Fat people get this stereotype from those on the outside all the time (that we eat a lot)and I finally thought this was a place of non judgement. I am aware many on this site got the way they are because they ate a lot but not everyone. Same goes with exercising: people are lecturing that you have to make sure you exercise daily or else and half of these holier than now lectures haven't seen the inside of a gym until this year. Which isnt a problem because they have chosen to make a change but do not lecture others when you dont know their history. Finally...being lectured about my post op drinks. Everyone is given a list by their drs and are not supposed to stray away from that list. I was told 2oz 3x per day of boost, ensure, atkins, slim fast, etc. I am constantly being told these are not healthy...and being read the nutrition facts..um I have it right in front of me and can read but honestly if my dr says to drink it I will.

  • I would like to answer your lecture about lecturing but I'm afraid I might lecture. Edit: Oops, I think I just did.

  • I tried to do some research about what percentage of obese adults had obese parents but got nowhere. All I could find was that adolescent obesity becomes a bigger factor than genetics although that is

I do think from your history of posts that you are a bit sensitive to feedback as are many people. I wan't involved in the thread you are speaking of being lectured in (I don't think!), but I do ofte

Hmmm....Not sure why its not working for you

Sorry! Um...don't lecture!

Unless you want too because it is an open forum and we really can't stop you.

Laura-ven, you are really a sharp, funny lady...I think I lol at many posts each day from you (that's not to say it is all "fluff", I tend to nod my head in agreements many times a day as well) that's me, a laughing bobble-head doll

Because when I tried less than 1200 calories and going to the gym I was constantly hungry. I did lose 8lbs in a week when i was at 1000 calories per day but i didnt like being hungry since i eat when im hungry...So I figured this would be my tool to not be hungry with less and when I get to the maintenance stage I will be back at my 1200 (1400 when I went out) maintaining lifestyle and all will be well.

Janice05/23 I am sorry to hear you we're lectured. One of my very first posts on here, someone jumped to a conclusion when they knew nothing about me and felt the need to lecture me.... It s not fun. I did think some of your symptoms though sounded very similar to mine and I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 22 after being a very active teenager and aging horrible amts of weight very very quickly. And when I eat very little and exercise my tail off I can lose weight.....but I am hungry :( anyway....good luck on your journey and I will be on the sleeved side soon!

Blow it out your horn, unicorn!

Go back to your house, mouse.

(Told you both off in rhyme. Ha!)

I am not the mouse silly...I am the mom.

Say goodbye...lip dye :-)

Just kidding!

Y'all are off topic. Just sayin.

LOL.. I was going to say this about 4 pages back, but I couldnt get through all the pages fast enough

OP.. Just take it with a grain of salt and understand this is a public forum and you will ALWAYS get responses you don't like to hear and endless feedback regardless if what you ask for it. It's going to happen. I think someone mentioned that perhaps doing your own blog would fit your stipulations and likings a bit better

I know it will not fix my metabolism but why should it have to...I was only gaining weight at 1400/1600 and more and I will never be eating that much again.

A few months down the road say around 4th or 5th month you will be hungry and eating quite a bit more.
