Hey everyone,

I am 7 weeks post op and I am wondering if there is a way to have pizza or a variation of it. I love pizza and have since cut out the thought of even having it but maybe there are some alternatives out there. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas.

Thanks

Well my idea would be using what you loved on the pizza and making it on a plate without a crust...

There is a crust less pizza recipe on this forum

I used low carb tortillas...usually the flavored ones like garlic. Put it on the stovetop in a skillet, with a little oil in the pan. Then smear some sauce on....and then cheese and then favorite toppings. Cook on low heat for about ten minutes. The tortilla crisps and it is like a thin crust pizza....FYI my children loved these too.

There is a recipe on here that uses cream cheese and an egg to make a "crust". I made it a few days ago. It came out pretty good. The "crust" didn't really get crispy -- it tasted more like the ricotta bake. However, I'm thinking that maybe it didn't crisp up because I used fat-free cream cheese... not sure.

I use flat out bread. Rub olive oil on it and bake for 7 minutes then add your toppings and bake for another 7 minutes. Its crispy and delicious! They have recipes on their website.

I use the Kidz Flatout bread, spread some sauce in it, turkey pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and throw it on a pizza stone in the oven and crisp it up. Yummy :)

i made a cauliflower crust using finely chopped cooked cauliflower, egg, low fat mozzarella cheese, and some oregeno...bake it in a oven for 450 degrees for about 12-15 min...i don't like cauliflower at all and i couldn't tell that this was made from it. i used turkey pepperoni and it was wonderous...i will be adding some more spices next time since it didn't blow me over but it's a Pizza Crust that is low carb and it let me have pizza which i LOVE!!! LOL

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
