Didn't realize that I had lost so much hope

Now that I'm down 17 pounds post-op (plus 13 pre-op), I've been looking in my my closet for the smaller clothes that I've saved over the years. I cannot find anything! I must have thrown them all out thinking I would NEVER be able to get back into them. It would be nice to have something to compare to. It is sad to me that at some point in time I gave up completely.

I put an "in between " pic in my original post, (third one down), about my much bragged about wife. Sorry if I gush a lot about her.

When she comes out on the lanai bringing me coffee in the morning looking like a fashion model I want to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming. But I don't because if I am dreaming I don't want to wake up.

Gman she really is beautiful before during and after! Both of you inspire me so much. Congratulations and I love the way you brag about her thats how you can tell how much a man really loves a woman.

My wife saved a short and halter top outfit that she wore when we were honeymooners. She brought it out on occasion with the picture of her in it during her many failed diets to motivate herself. She never lost enough.

40 years later' date=' she is finally back into it, thanks to weight loss surgery and her own discipline.

She be lookin fine! ;)

Wowwww how cool is that!!!

Lol I have my 1996 prom dress as well in the back of my closet. :)

Lol. You girls are funny. I actually tried on my year 2000 prom dress this weekend and it fit and it ZIPPED!!!! I was thrilled.

I started getting overweight during puberty then obese and finally morbidly obese...because of this I dont have any adult skinny clothes (I'm 23). Can't wait to be able to shop

I went out today and decided to treat myself to a new pair of jeans. I was wearing a snug 20, but got a size 18. I tried on a16, but it was to tight...BUT I got them on, snapped and zipped!

I am missing sizes. I am down 2 sizes but have nothing but one pair of jeans until I get down 2 more sizes. Then it's another 2 sizes after that where I can wear tons of old stuff.

Gmanbat- that is amazing!
