You need to get in more Protein and try Biotin. You need to get in 60-90 grams of protein daily but need to be closer to 90 in order

Hit the send button too quickly.

70-90 grams daily will help to slow down and stop hair loss. Good luck to you.

CRAP MEE TOO!! I was in the shower today and was washing it and all of a sudden thier wasnt much thieir, so thin. Good Lord, Im going to be a skinny bald person..Just my luck :(

PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN....That is what you have to focus on....they say this starts bout 2 months out and you started to eat more variety and not getting in all the protein that your body needs to maintain...good luck

My nut said they don't know why this happens. I get enough protein and mine is coming out a little not a lot. I started using frutis shampoo and conditioner made for losing hair. It seems to be helping.

I have read any kind of surgery is a shock to the body and can result in hair loss 3 to 6 months later. I think all we can do is get enough protein and vitamins and ride it out. I'm sure not looking forward to it because my hair is so thin and fine already. Ugh

Same here...it's so depressing!!! Doctor says it will stop once you stabilize your weight. I'm doing biotin...he said that doesn't help m

I am 4 months out and getting in protein and yet I am losing my hair like crazy, as in I am getting concerned, and it looks terrible. I had very thick hair to begin. When will it subside?

I am thinking of getting hair extensions for thickness at least. I allready talked to my hairstylist about it.

Will the extensions cause more damage to your hair? I am just curious. I would do it if it didn't hurt my hair.

If extensions are placed properly there should be no damage to your hair

It happens to most & at varying degrees, according to my dr & nut. Protein is crucial - and I struggle with it. I am taking 10000 Biotin and even prenatal Vitamins. I started using Biotin/Collagen shampoo & conditioner (purple bottle Organix - Walmart). I started styling my hair less and using little to no products on my hair. My hair is all I got...and I dread this more than anything.

The good thing? I've yet to read one post from anyone on this site & another site from anyone who claims it didn't grow back...everybody says it will grow back...just may be a different texture or even color.

Best of luck to all of us with this!

I had never heard of a persons hair growing back a different color! Cats yes, my black cat had ringworm and the naked spots grew in white.
