I'm from Abilene :)

Live in Denton now. I'm so surprised your 2 week was good. I saw Natalia and she didn't look at my incisions. Literally said three words and she was done. Maybe they know you're coming from far.

I saw her in the Plano office. I was surprised she didn't even look at the incisions. I even asked her if she was going to look at them and she just said no. I was really a waste of gas and my time, as was the 6 week post op. That is my only negative experience with the whole Dr. Nicholson experience.

That's kind of how I felt. I do like going to weigh on their scale but that's about it. I almost with they would have us see the nutritionist instead of the PA because we might get some good pointers at least.

So what do you do at the appointments? Just weigh and ask any questions you might have?

For me, it was weigh in, gave me a couple of remarks on the next phase of the diet and said have a nice day. Could have phoned it in. I asked her to check my blood pressure and she said she didn't have a cuff in this office. Really? Huh huh... It was less than 2 minutes from start to finish.

Now the PA that saw me in the hospital was fantastic. I really think it's just Natalia ( I think that's her name) that is lazy. Every one else in his organization has been top notch from the front office back.

It must be Natalia. I left her a voicemail at 3 pm one day and she didn't call me back. Finally at 11 the next morning I called back and asked for a different PA. While I was talking to that PA, Natalia beeped in. Lol no thanks!

She just doesn't have much personality. I think that's the issue. I'm not one to hate on people but it is her job to be helpful and that she is not. Just my two cents.

That's too bad about Natalia but from what I've heard she's the exception. I can take one bad apple. :)

Eliie, what part of Dallas are you in?

Do any of y'all go to any of the support groups?

I read on another thread that he schedules 13 surgeries a day. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that? That seems like an awful lot.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
