B- I hard boiled egg and half a slice of turkey bacon

S- 6 tortilla chips w/ 2 tablespoons of hummus. There was a work birthday party

L- two thai shrimp gyoza

D- 4 baked parmesan cheese "crackers" and 2 ounces of tuna salad

S - probably half a cup of cantelope.

2 years out, 14 months at goal weight. Kinda full today after treat day yesterday.Plus it is finally warm here.

8:30 a.m.: 1 slice whole wheat bread, 2 oz. roast chicken

noon: 2 oz. roast chicken mixed with a little Newmann's Own Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing, 1/3 cup boiled edamame, 1/4 cup snow peas, 1/8 cup mandarin orange segments, 1/3 cup lettuce, 2 T. sliced almonds, 2 T. Newmann's Own Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing

Afternoon snack: Fresh melon cubes

dinner later: 3 oz. albacore tuna, packed in Water, mixed with 1 T. greek yogurt, 1 T. light Mayonnaise and a 1/2 teaspoon of prepared horseradish on 1/2 ciabatta roll with lettuce, Tomato, and 1/8 avocado

Snack: 1 cup fat free greek Yogurt with 2 T. whipped cream cheese and Splenda, topped with Splenda sweetened smashed strawberries and 1 graham cracker, crumbled

I'll have what she's having! :D

Yesterday-

Breakfast- greek yogurt

Snack- string cheese

Lunch- edamame and two chicken skewers with peanut sauce

Snack- dry roasted peanuts

Dinner- two chicken skewers and peanut sauce.

About 800 calories

4.5 weeks out...

Breakfast

4.5 oz of a Breakfast burrito I made that had egg, black bean, Greek yogurt, 2% shredded cheese and hot sauce on a wheat and black bean blend tortilla (Mission brand)

snack

Handful of cashews and a grande skinny latte from sbux

lunch

4 meatballs (1.5 oz total) with a thai peanut sauce I made

dinner (planned, anyway)

The no-dough "pizza" that there is a recipe for on this forum w/ reduced fat turkey pepperoni and mushrooms.

What did I eat today? Nothing. Lol, in hospital, got sleeved yesterday afternoon....waiting to have my leak/swallow test....hopefully soon, then I will get a tray of liquids and "sipping lessons" ....wish me luck! Feeling good at least, all things considered

Bkfst: 1 egg beater with T. of spinach & 1 light cheese stick

Snack: half pure Protein Shake

Lunch: 1/2 c. fat free refried Beans with 2 T. of salsa

Snack: half pure Protein shake & V8

Dinner: 2 oz. steak strips and mushrooms topped with parmesan & 2 T. mixed veggies

Snack: sugarfree popsicle

About 64 oz. Water throughout

Just over 4 weeks out.

Breakfast: 1/2 a Greek yogurt

Lunch: 1 once of turkey breast and a laughing cow cheese

Snack: turkey pepperoni

Dinner: first happy hour since surgery - 1/2 and iced tea, one French fry, a square of butternut squash flat bread, 1/3 of the pulled pork inside a taco. ( then I threw up :-(( ) oh well you have to try things!

About 60 of Water with a 1/2 of a whey Protein shot in it.

Bad Protein day for me, just want hungry!

It's not a treat day for me, so only junky snack I am having is some pretzels this evening.

8 a.m.:Soy Latte,

9 a.m.: 2 oz. 98% FF ham

10:30 a.m.:Sarah Lee Whole Grain mini-bagel w 1 wedge Laughing Cow Lite Cinnamon Cream cheese, 1/3 bananna

Lunch: 2 oz. chicken breast, 1/2 c. romaine, 1/4 mandarin oranges packed in Splenda, chopped green onion, 2 T. Newmans Own Lowfat Sesame Ginger (I nix 1 T. with the chicken and pour the other over the rest of the salad), 1 oz. Special K whole grain crackers

Snack: 1 C. melon

Dinner: 2 oz. Water packed tuna mixed with 1 T. light mayo, 1 T. non-fat greek yogurt and 1/2 t. prepared horseradish on 1 slice WW bread with lettuce, Tomato, and 1/4 small avocado (I use a big lettuce leaf instead of a top slice of bread)

Snack: 3/4 C. fatfree greek yogurt and 1/3 cup blueberries with Splenda, 1 c. mini pretzels

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

      Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs. 
      I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm. 
      I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order. 
      My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

      Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
      Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
      A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.

      I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
      Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
