7 weeks out -

Nothing...well I'll explain:

B - Fritata 1 oz. before it all came back up

L - Soup w/shrimp, mushroom, and coconut milk (ended up giving me bad cramps and diarhea)

So as of right now, just my liquids since nothing is staying down today. Oh well, there's hope for dinner. Want to have some baked fish...let's hope that stays down.

Today was kind of a strike out on lunch. I did not have time to prepare anything, so heated up an Atkins chicken Alfredo and brocolli from the freezer. Made me want to throw up after eating about 1/2. Darn you processed beast!! Typically, I am eating fresh chicken and brocolli, ala paleo diet. Warning to all of you. Breakfast and snack were Protein Shake / chia seeds and left over shredded buffalo chicken / cucumber, respectively.

For breakfast I tried the bariatric funnel cake recipe here. I didn't have Carbquik so I made it with Bob's Red Mill low carb baking mix, but that was a mistake. That mix is much too hearty and thick. I ended up making a jacked-up pancake. But that mix does have a good amount of Protein and I got 18 grams from my "funnel cake". For lunch I had zucchini julienned into noodles with italian sausage, garlic and drizzled Tomato sauce. For dinner I plan on having something new, chicken, spinach, onions and peppers wrapped in flatout foldit multigrain flax flatbread. For my evening snack a mozzarella cheese stick probably.

I'm guessing the quick carbs from pasta, candy and bananas are the source of your hunger. But either way it's normal, I have days where I could skip eating all together and days where I'm hungry every hour or two.

You're welcome! I think its great to have a few ideas from vets so everyone can see what eating a few years out looks like.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
