Runs after first real food?

Hi All,

I'm going to assume what just happened to me is normal, but figured I'd just double check with the experts before freaking and calling my doc office. Today is my first day of real food ( puréed). I had a scrambled egg for breakfast, and just had some tuna fish and carrots. Ten or so minutes after eating, I had a case of the runs. Can I assume this is due to eating real food for the first time in almost three weeks?

Thanks, I'm so excited for this surgery, I'd hate for this to be an on going issue.

Yep! it's normal. I remember the exact same thing happening to me. It doesn't last tho! Good luck

Happened to me too. it was transient tho. good luck!

Yes it happened to me too. I was told by my NUT to introduce one food daily and that's been working great for me.

It happened to me and still does occasionally, but I've had IBS for the last 24 years and I attribute it mostly to that.

I remember those days!

Words of wisdom that I read on here that served me well in the first few weeks of real food were "Never, Ever trust a fart!"
