    arc vs eliptical

So i have began to hit the gym really hard lately.. there is this new arc machine that everyone is gravitating toward. I was an huge eliptical fan for a long time... is the arc more intense?
  2. i was wondering the same thing...until I ate something that was a little more acidic like chili. My tummy burned a little. I took the prilosac and I felt much better.
  3. Oh and yes rich foods make me have to run to the bathroom but my stomach was always sensitive. I take imodium if I am going to a function and not sure what they are serving.

  5. For me I had no pain, i just couldnt figure out why i couldnt keep anything down...everything I had would come up..i went to the ER and the doctor pushed on where my gall bladder was and it was painful.I was like what the heck was that!! He kept me and told me that my gall bladder wasnt functioning at all. I had it removed and it changed my life. Get it done ma,you will feel better.

    popcorn.

Sleeved on 4/24-i went to the movies recently and had Nachos...i know that chips are a slider food, not harming py little pouch so I was ok in having a few...I only had a few and put the rest down, simply because the craving that I thought I had I really didnt. It was salty, the cheese was horrid. It used to be my staple at the theater. I sat there drinking my Crystal Lite really satisfied. I am terrified of popcorn because of the kernels so i am staying clear of them. I have had trouble getting Calcium in so i wanted to try it in different forms. I had a serving of rice crispies, splenda, and a lot of milk for dinner. Later that night I gagged on a crispie that was lodged somewhere..so no more for me!
  7. thanks girl! I cant wait for it to happen...congrats on 42 gone thats amazing!
  8. Add me to the list too! Since being sleeved on 4/24 i have lost 10 pounds only. I am working out daily, drinking 69 grams of protein and at least 60 oz of water. I have lost several inches though,i just dont understand why the scale has not moved. Pre op i lost 25 lbs in 14 days doing the same thing..so frustrating...

    Painful Eating

a week out could be the horrid air and gas that is still trapped in your body...i actually thought i pulled my tummy to tough when i was working out, i had pains and could not eat anything...turns out it was just gas!
  10. Lord aint that the truth! I had my gall bladder removed so my stomach is already sensitive..as soon as i eat it comes right out! So frustrating...
  11. I created a cover at work..bringing my Protein shakes during pre op to work and refusing to indulge in take out. Working out daily which i was semi vocal about. All things that are true. I wore the same clothes from before and yesterday i wore something more fitting and was complimented on how i looked. At the same time those same people whispered and acted weird about my healthier choices. This process is hard as it is but I couldnt bear people watching my every bite and using my surgery as an adjective to describe me! A healthy lifestyle is my cover and it is working beautifully!
  12. You know i wondered that too...but I would have at the very least wanted to see pre op kind of results,18 lbs in 2 weeks...ill let you know what my doc says..
  13. I have read previous posts and i see i am not alone in having a weight stall but hunny, 8 lbs in 12 days just wont do for me! I am following my dr orders(except the occasional cracker in my soup). I am on the full liquid phase and I have been cleared to eat oatmeal, cream of wheat and creamed Soups. Those are all starchy things that my Low carb living told me to avoid. I have started to add back my Protein shakes but still no results. I am walking but was freaked out when I was on the treadmill and my tummy hurt afterwards..my doctors appointment is tomorrow and i am anxious to see what he will say about this. In your experience, did your doctor encourage the pre op diet to get over a stall? What do you suggest?
  14. Thanks so much! I will try to weigh only once a week, that is going to be hard to do though. I just expected more but I need to have patience, your right!
  15. Robin..your experiencing the same? Isnt this just insane to you? I guess I wasnt counciled about this stuff happening post op. I would have been more prepared...
  16. I love appletini crystal lite! I cant wait to be able to put vodka in it!
  17. Itching around the incision is your nerves regenerating itself after being severed during the procedure, totally normal.
  18. I am not sure if you have a Kroger in your area but they have whats called Carb Master Yogurt. Only 4 carbs, 8 grams of protein and 60 calories. Several different flavors. They now have Carb Master milk and lite greek yogurt. All designed to have more protein than standard brands.
  19. Just to let you know, I am a hugger and since I cant physically do so I wanted to verbally send a squeeze to this forum. I was led here by my sister who was researching information for me about the sleeve and the effects of having children after you have it..I have never left! I got my sleeve on 4/24 and I havent looked back thanks to this forum and the tremendous wealth of information. I have to be a sleever in secret, only telling a few people who I can trust. I have created a cover, using my pre-op diet as my new trend to see how people respond to an extreme method and socially how my friends would respond to me. I was saddened to see how a few of my friends acted, acting as if I was too good for them. A few have created a narrative that I know will carry over when I see them again of "she stopped eating,I am so worried" to "yeah she looks good but look how she got there" it has affirmed that I made the right decision. I have met some amazing people already and I am inspired by your journey, your struggles. Even your occasional disagreements bring me to new found awareness! Thank you for being so open and willing to share this difficult, deeply personal time with all of us. I appreciate you!
  20. Congrats girl!!!! 15 lbs is really great for 11 days out...I hope I can progress to soft foods soon, I cant wait till I can have salmon!!
  21. I was sleeved on 4/24 yeah girl that first week is a killer!
  22. All i wanted was food too,so i thought. I tasted some corn chowder that I pureed and it was not at all what i wanted... crave things i ate in the Low Carb lifestyle that is too early for me to have like meats and vegetables. I cant wait to have some meatloaf!
  23. Yea! I am so happy for you Zoey, congratulations!
  24. I think we have to be more sympathetic, I can imagine kicking 2 addictions(food and nicotine) in such a drastic fashion at the same time is very difficult. Same way people cheat on their pre op diet, it is hard to let go. Being judgemental about the person who is struggling with the process cant be helpful, kind of reminds me of how people judged us and our commitment to health because we are overweight. I think we all know what is the correct or healthy thing to do and coming here for advice to fellow sleevers is the only way some can resolve the issues they have. The sleeve is the right choice, so is not smoking. We can support you through both processes of healing. You just have a more informed decision...
  25. Me too!! There are symptoms and feelings i cant tell my hubby because he would worry..I go to the forum and find all my answers,or at least find people who feel the same way i do..This can be an isolating experience but without having people to talk to who understands it could be much harder road to take!
