Yes I have it I'm so confused by it! Did I do too much? I'm two weeks out tomorrow

At my post op appt Friday they said it was normal. It is bc of the deep stitch in the abdomen. I am two weeks tomorrow too and they said it could last until week 3 or 4. Hoping not. I go back to work tomorrow.

Anyone else around my date returning to work?

When were you sleeved? I was sleeved on the 17th and I'm returning next Monday.

I went to my 2 week follow up today and was ok'ed for puree foods ( 2 wks) , however I was reprimanded because I was very low on my calorie intake which was 340 a day

So my Doc said my body is in starvation mode and will not release any fat at all. He has me now at 600-800 good calories 80g of Protein and 15g of carbs no sugar. Oh I have to eat 5-6 xs a day thats not counting Protein Shakes and Water intake..... Over all I was harming myself :-( but he said I can turn it around and reach my goal!

Now can some one tell me how to get 600 calories in please because I dont know how....its so weird before I could eat a piece of cheese cake or a burger and there was my 600 calories :-) please HELP.....!

Had surgery on the 26th and I am returning to work on Wednesday. I just sit at a desk all day, but I am nervous about going back and eating and drinking etc, I guess. I think I could have used an extra week but didn't want to use all my leave. I haven't even been at my current job a year yet, I will b on July 29th.

I was sleeved on the 25th and I'm going back tomorrow! I'm nervous, but I'm sure I'll be ok once I get there! I do nails and have an 11 hour day scheduled, but we will see if I stay the while time! I hope I can! I'm still very very sore, especially in the left side and don't feel too well sometimes, but I'm really trying to get my Protein and fluids in!

Good luck Hun! I hope I make my 9 hour shift lol I have to sit in a desk chair but luckily the bathroom is a long way away so I can get some walking in. I'll prob have to go every hour anyway with all the liquids!

I finally got in 85 grams of Protein today! I feel stuffed though. It was really a struggle to do that buy that's what the doc ordered. Said it should break my stall. We shall see. Not worried about the stall though still bc we are still learning how to eat again. It will start up again when my body decides it is ok with what I am giving it ;)

Did you try adding a little of the unflavored Protein to your Soup? It might go down easier than the shakes. Adding skim milk to the soup would also add a nice dose of protein if you can tolerate it.

Is there protein in skim milk? I never thought about checking and/or counting it.....

Hi Newme, I think I have been doing the same thing...have not lost weight in a few days, having trouble reaching my protein goal, sick of shakes and Soups, and not getting many calories either...... Luckily I will switch to pureed foods this week too (will be 2 weeks out on Wed) and I think that will help me get my Proteins. Good luck to you and thanks for posting this!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
