Born and raised thank you very much. I don't see what your in-law has to do with this. It's funny how you don't care what anyone else thinks yet you're over here defending yourself from every single comment.

Please, I am having fun. I find no need to "defend" just responding. Don't confuse the two. Born and raised. Don't you just feel blessed? I can't imagine being from somewhere like....I don't know, Wisconsin. Not a happy group for the most part.

Yes I've had soda. It didn't cause any problems but it did make me feel very full for hours. It was like the bubbles just sat in there the rest of the day. Some people tolerate it very well though. My suggestion would be to just have a couple sips here and there, for no other reason than to avoid the full feeling that may keep you from eating real food.

Oh - and good for you having the very nerve to ask a question that our die-hard forum members will consider a "rule breaking" behavior:) Get ready for all the preaching that will most likely follow your question. Just go ahead and read it all while having a taste of your favorite carbonated beverage.

Very good response.

Some feel the need for human contact. They do that much like a 2 year old does. Bad attention is better than none.

Unless you have contacts at the state department, you have no idea if her doctor is a foreigner or not. Its another attention provoking statement.

Time to back up, take time to read your posts, and decide if the statements are what you really want to be known by.

Bigotry isn't pretty.

Thats all my Scots/Irish butt has to say.:-)

The state department? Oh wow, this is deep!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
