That is something to discuss with your doctor. For my stay, they provided me with what I needed & if I had brought anything extra it would have had to be cleared prior to administration.

I take adderal and paxil, in the hospital they would crush them for me, it tasted awful but I took them, good luck

My surgeon told me as long as I could choke the down, I could take whatever. I'm on xanax and celexa. They were fine!

In the US they don't allow you to bring you're own meds. They feel it's better that they charge you (or insurance) a preposterous amount per pill.

Actually, it's so they have control over the medication accuracy at all times.. But they still ridiculously over charge

I actually brought my own sleeping pills to the hospital, too afraid they wouldn't give them to me. But everything else (blood pressure meds, thyroid meds, antidepessants) they provided to me from their supply. I'm sure I was sposed to tell someone I actually took a sleeping pill, but it was only 1 nite, so I never told them!
