Hola from TJ 3 days post op with Dr Kelly pics

And I do mean hospitals available for plastics. I've seen Florence/Oasis and I would be comfortable there but I don't think they do plastics.......

Maybe I'll just find something local then. Naples FL is the plastics capital of the country next to Beverly Hills. ???? But it costs do much! Maybe I can go back to Cleveland clinic Florida or Tampa. I'll research and thanks again for the info.

Oh, I didn't mean to discourage you. I was reading the TJ plastics forum on here and there were soooooo many happy people who had all their work done there :D

And it's totally unfair that you are in Naples and I'm in Wheeling! Lol

Would love info on your doctor. Looking into my options. Out of pocket here in MS for me will be $12,500.

I paid $5500 everything included except airfare. He's done almost 7,000 surgeries and he was the only one I was comfortable with (I would have been comfortable with Dr Aceves but he is 3k more and I'm going to use that 3k for vacation June 1st :)) He is a member of the prestigious FACS and American Society of Bariatric Surgeons. He did his residency here in the US, served in the military and also completed a transplant residency before falling in love with bariatrics.

His only website is www.wlsclinic.com, I personally would schedule directly with the Dr or his secretary because I'm not big into the whole agency/coordinator drama. I posted a really long review, did you find it?

Here is his facs page, I believe that email goes directly to him also. http://web2.facs.org/acsdir/public/DetailMember.cfm?CHKDGTS=70304750667

Hahaha. Actually I'm in Cape Coral FL one hour north of Naples. It's nice being in the sunshine and near beaches but I sure miss the rolling hills and pretty flowers and trees too. And my friends and family of course.

You're always welcome to come visit me! I have plenty of room!! We can share ideas and exercise together and talk nurse talk. Although I'm not a midwife but always wanted to be a L&D nurse. Just never happened and now I'm 50. Doubt anyone would hire me without L&D experience.. Besides I love my job in marketing home health.

Don't tempt me Himalya, nurse talk and small meals in FL sounds wonderful!!!!

Sooooo many nurses and medical personnel go to Dr Kelly. I think we have the understanding to look past certain things at the big picture. 2 weeks 2 days 31.5lbs :D

I love all of your pictures Gibson Girl! I was sleeved by Dr Kelly on 4/6/13. Where you in rm 13? Our pics look so much the same! Like you, two days after surgery and I was feeling so good. Recovery has been great. I am no longer controlled by hunger!!

Cecy took me shopping and out to lunch with Dr Kelly's Dad. My husband and I were treated like royalty by the Kelly's.

We were in the same room!!!! Too cool :) I also was in the room across the hall talking to a new friend, it was the same.

Cecy was going to take me shopping one evening but I went out walking all afternoon and was tired. I'm so glad I wasn't in the hospital for more than 2 days. I went there pretty much planning to pay the extra $500 for 3 nights in the hospital and on day 2 I was like LEMME OUT haha. I loved the hospital but I was ready to go (good sign).

Lora, Dr Kelly's office assistant (I don't know what to call her but she's an actual employee like we have in the states) is moving to TJ in July. I think she'll complete the package. I've never got to meet her (hope to remedy that one day) but she is there for any question 24/7 and has been amazing!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
