Yeah I'm excited are you? I'm on the liquid diet. I look forward to starting a new chapter in my life.

I'm scheduled for April 30th...Super excited to start a new life & to feel more comfortable in my own skin. Looking to share this experience with other people going through the same thing. I started my liquid diet on Saturday...today was the toughest so far. I went to the grocery store. I know it sounds silly but I haven't eaten anything other than broth, Jello, popsicle's and Water since Saturday.

I started on Monday and I've had a few crackers on mom and a few pretzels Tuesday I know it's bad. Back on track today I know I have too.

I started on Monday and I've had a few crackers on mom and a few pretzels Tuesday I know it's bad. Back on track today I know I have too.

I woke up this morning with the worst headache :( I had a few crackers Tuesday but that's it. I haven't seen my doctor since January and since then I had gained about 6 pounds.. My grandmother was on hospice for a month so I spent most of my days sitting in the room with my mom and we would eat crap food & lot's of wine just because that's all there was to do. I hate that I allowed myself to do that but it was one of the only things that got me through it. Needless to say, I have my last apt pre-op apt with my doctor this Friday and he's going to think that I either haven't been doing my liquids or know that I gained weight...he's very strict. Well I'm off to get ready for work, nice that someone replied to one of my posts :) When is your surgery?

I'm May 1 as well! I started my pre-op diet today, though I "practiced" the last couple of days at work. My diet is 3-4 shakes a day + a lean cuisine type meal, for total calories under 890. Today I had my endoscopy so I didn't eat anything until 5pm when I finally got home :/ then I had (over the next 3 hours) a shake, an Amy's frozen burrito, 6 shrimps, and later some chicken broth. I feel like I should have another shake, but my throat hurts and I'm beat so I'm just going to throw in the towel and go to bed.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
