NORMAL!

I never had actual regret' date=' but I did have some freakout over the fact that the majority of my stomach was rotting in a Mexican bio-dump somewhere. Also when you're not eating for so long, you start to feel like it's never going to end and you can't face another sickening sweet Protein shake.... food is a VERY emotional thing for a lot of us. When someone interferes with my ability to have it, I get extremely emotional.. I cried on more than one occasion during my PRE-OP because I couldn't have what I wanted. I felt so stupid, but this is reality.

Also remember that your body has been through a huge physical trauma. Take it easy and cut yourself some slack. You are completely normal and this will pass and you'll be rocking your sleeve in no time.[/quote']

OMG. I'm on the 2nd day of my preopp liquid diet and driving in to work today I just started crying. never in my life have I felt stress and anxiety until these last few weeks leading up to surgery. Sure I'm in PMS mode and that plays a role... But it's the weirdest feeling. My boss even caught me crying in my office today and asked me what's wrong. I lied and told her that I was afraid of dying during surgery because I couldn't tell her why I was really crying. Hell I didn't even know why I was really crying.

Iontash that's normal it's gonna take about 3-4 days until you get use to that liquid. But I assure you it is so worth it. You will start seeing the weight come down and you will be happy. It's easy putting that weight on. Don't expect a walk in the park getting it off.

NO PAIN NO GAIN. Or loss whatever you know what I mean. Hang in there all you can do now is lose weight. And that's a good thing!!!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
