eggs, cheese, Peanut Butter, ff refried Beans with ff sr cream, Protein Shakes (if I could stand them), sf puddings/jellos, whole wheat toast, flat out bread, fish was added this week...I am 1 month out...I am lucky I am still experiencing no hunger or thirst..but I can't stomach the shakes (trying to get Protein by food) and I struggle with the water....

I was sleeved the same day. I am on puréed. I tried eggs and had horrible chest pains. I can handle beef (taco meat, meatloaf), mashed potatoes, refried Beans and such. My fave has been cottage cheese with taco seasoning.

I am 5 weeks out today and i eat ground chicken, low fat cheese, greek yogurt, tuna, fish, eggs, refried Beans, PB2- i pretty much just eat Protein so i won't have to drink as many shakes. My doctor's plan allows 3 meals a day that are 2 ounces at each meal and then supplement with Protein Shakes, milk, sf popsicles in between.

I was 4 weeks Monday. I am there with you on the shakes and Water. I am trying to do the food protein instead of the liquids. I haven't been very adventurous with foods--but I'm going to have to!

Sleeved 3/18/13 and allowed eggs yogurt refried Beans cottage cheese and sf pudding. My diet was advanced to this at my one week postop checkup. The only thing I have eaten is cottage cheese and refried beans no more than 2 oz at a time. The thought of plain eggs makes me ill which is why I have not eaten them and I can barely stomach the sicky sweet Protein Drinks which is why I won't eat sf pudding either. I am so exited for my 3 month postop visit because I will be given more foods to eat.

Wow 3/18 was a big day. Me too! I am not allowed any meats yet. Sunday will be a different story. Right now I am making mashed sweet potatoes sometimes mixing in some cottage cheese, eggs, creamed spinach (which left over mixed with the eggs is yummy, pastina, lentil Soup home made and pureed, cream of broccoli soup, sweet potato and pear soup....

Hi. I haven't started my purée stage yet and am still on Protein Shakes which makes me so nauseous so I will try to get my Protein through foods as well. I can't wait to start my puréed stage.. Thanks for responding.

Everything you mentioned sounds yummy. I'm a little nervous about the eggs. Lol

I was 3/1 so I'm almost 6 weeks postop and can now pretty much eat anything...citrus fruits next week. I'm still scared of strawberries because of the seeds but am dying to add some to my vanilla Protein Shake with banana. Anyone else eating them?

Edit 3 week postop visit not 3 month. Any who my visit was today incisions look good. Blood pressure was 110/70. I have been off meds since 3 days after surgery. Down 22 lbs! I went to the grocery store after visit with nutritionist and spent $100 my eyes are definitely bigger than stomach. For dinner I had a slice of deli ham that was .6 oz with a wedge of laughing cow queso cheese spread on it which I rolled up. It was very yummy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
