I'm 5 months out and my hair is thinning badly! I just bought some biotin (2500 mcg) and was wondering how many sleevers have had success?

My dermatologist recommended minoxidil, but he also told me to keep in mind that once you start it, it's for life. If you stop it, you will lose the new growth and your hair would return to the pattern loss your trying to stop. I didn't want that kind of commitment so I went with the biotin.
