Jan Sleevers - who has been at a plateau?

Recommended Posts

Hey fellow Jan sleevers. I cant complain too much as I have been loosing at a pretty good clip till about 2 weeks ago. Would love to heard from my peers from Jan:

- have you plateaued?

- If so for how long?

- What did you do to bust thru or just wait it out?

- Any change in diet / exercise you think triggered it?

Thx

No stalls yet but I'm sure they will come. I am a slow loser about 1lb a week. I have just upped my calories and I think it's helping. I am now eating about 900 calories a day. Try upping your calories.

I had my surgery on jan 7th and lost 60lbs so far but have hit a stall for the past two weeks... I shouldn't complain since I'm down a lot but everyone keeps expecting to hear I've lost more since the 60lb total 2 weeks ago... I work in a salon so everyday clients ask me what my "new total" is and I feel guilty when I probably shouldn't that it hasn't changed

I was sleeved on 1/8 and I too was loosing at a pretty good pace up until the past few weeks. I started at 262 and I'm stuck between 206-210. It's been about 3 weeks at this weight and I just can't seem to break it. I've added a new cardio routine to my workout plan and still nothing. If anyone finds any fixes for a dreaded stall please keep me updated!

First congrats on the great progress all

Stalled for the last 2 weeks (ok down a pound in last day but could be an anomaly) I can empathize

I stall every other week... weight jumps up and down for about a week but eventually catches up. I am losing about 3lbs a week, almost 10 weeks out. I exercise a lot so I like to tell myself I am gaining muscle and losing fat. I did notice I dropped a pant size during my last stall which lasted about 10 days... go figure.

I seem to have regular stalls every couplebof weeks. I'm dying to lose the next 10 pounds and be in onederland! I work out a ton and eat great so it's all I can really do. Measurements help and so do photos because the inches are definitely coming off. My surgery was 1/29 and I'm down 43 pounds and 20 inches!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
