So... I have good news and bad news. Bad news first. I had my first PB last night, and threw up stuff 3 times in the course of an hour and slimed in between, NOT an experience I want to repeat. I decided that to be nice to my tummy I would just do liquids today, and mushies tomorrow, to see how I handle it. Guess the bright side is that I have GREAT restriction, just need to chew better.

Good news. I hit 30lbs down today!!! YAY!!! I am weighing in for the challenge today, because I have to leave for a conference before 8 tomorrow, and want to just say I am down 3 pounds from last thursday!!!!

I have realized I have to eat extremely slow and make sure I avoid anything dry. I can't do Pasta anymore! But that's okay. Congrats on your 3lb loss! That's great! You got your fill less than a week ago! Wow!

Alright, I should be old hat at this...my restriction is perfect, I am losing...BUT at night I am having reflux and keep waking up coughing and can feel the burn. To tight?

Brandy, Everything I've read says that night coughing = reflux = being too tight. I read that you can try to eat 3 hours before bedtime and drink 8 oz of Water 1 hour before laying down to rinse your upper tummy through. Let us know what Tom says. Before being banded I coughed constantly. night and day! I had horrible reflux! I never cough anymore!

Ok...I'm back from Hawaii. Actually, been back for a week now, but am easing back into "normal" life! Haha! The trip was great and I'm proud of myself for not dwelling on the (only two) arguments that my sisters and I had and I'm remembering the good stuff. I didn't realize how cynical I'd become!

So...the fill didn't seem to do much (the one I got from my new fill doc here in Nome), but low and behold...it's been two weeks and I'm getting "cut off"!! I just weighed myself Sat. and was still at 215...today I'm at 210!!! :thumbup:Now, just how the heck that happened I don't know (there are still Hershey bars here from Halloween and you can bet that I'm partaking!). Now, I'm not complaining, but strangely in awe. Of course, I've been eating very little today to make sure it "sticks". Haha!

I'm going to try to post a picture of me in Hawaii and one of the puppy we'll be picking up in a couple of weeks. Still looking for a good name....although Lexi seems to be at the forefront now.

Welcome back from Hawaii! You look great! So pretty! AND good job just enjoying your time and not dwelling on the bad stuff with your sisters. I know that must have taken some work. Also, I think your puppy looks like a Lexi!

Good name!

I don't have a surgery date yet.:frown: we have to wait till we get taxes done, ususally around the end of Febuary. I just want to get all my ducks in a row. I have talk to them, just trying to figure some things out. If I could go now, I would, but we have acouple loans to pay off first.

I remember how bad it is to drive down that way, but I havn't driven down there in over 8 years. Thats why I'm leaning towards my mom to drive, she nows how! My husband is not allowed to drive in the big citys, he like to run red lights:laugh:! We don't have any traffic lights in our town, and he was raised here, so you can only imagine how he drives!!

You're a smart woman for getting your prep work done now. And I agree with having your Mom drive instead of your hubby. Good luck getting the rest of the stuff in order! Don't give up - things will work out!

Lotza, sorry about the PB. I slimed the other night, it is yucky.

Good morning lap band ladies! Today is our first official weigh in day of our holiday challenge.

Lotza started us off yesterday with her 3 lb weight loss!!

I lost 1.9 and I'm just peachy with that.

I think Tally forgot to report before leaving on her trip, and Dee is going to weigh in tomorrow.

Let's hear from the rest of you losers!! Whoohoo!!

I'm not a loser this week. But I'm not a winner either, hahah. OK, that didn't make much sense!

I've been back and forth between +1 and -1 this whole week, but today I'm dead even with where I was last Thursday.

Last night I started my mushies phase. Hunger is really starting to effect me. I'm trying hard not to let it get to me - only two more weeks of this before my fill and I can't wait!

So, put me down for EVEN STEVENS this week Mini! I promise I'll try to lose a pound next week!

Good morning

Reporting in with a 0.03 loss, not much but better than the previous 2 weeks where it was a big 0:ohmy:.

Has anyone else been having problems with the update/refresh on our site? I have checked my settings, and it all seems ok, but I have to physically log off, log back in to see the new posts.

I've been having all kinds of trouble with the site. I'm not getting my email alerts when there are new posts, and a lot of the time I can't even get on!

Try not to get discouraged. This is a really hard part of the process. You're so excited for your weight loss to start and then it just kind of sits there. Go ahead and eat! Really! This is the healing phase. Your body has been through a lot and needs nutrition.

Hmmm. . . . might still be a little lumpy. Maybe you could run it through the food processor????

I might just do that! I'm craving meat! Which is weird, because I don't think I've ever craved meat. I'm also not really feeling the sweet stuff either! It's amazing how your tastes change post-banding.

Yeah, I DEFINITELY craved meat. I think it's your body telling you it needs Protein. I couldn't WAIT to have some beef. I made all sorts of gross, pureed meat things even when I was still on full liquids. I would puree canned chicken with some chicken broth and drink it. My friend at school called it "chicken gruel".

I think during mushies I ate a lot of chicken salad. I used canned chicken and some mayo and then quickly pulsed it in the food processor. It tasted really good.

Oh yes! One of the local grocery stores (the expensive one I try not to shop at, haha) has tuna salad that is soft and mushy with no chunks in it. I think I'll go get some of that! Gosh, I used to love that stuff, but stopped eating it because it was just so gosh-darned expensive. I think it's time to splurge, haha. There's also a local deli that has won awards for it's chicken salad, and it's also the soft and mushy kind. Looks like I know where I'm going for lunch!

That's pretty much the same problem I've been having, maybe I will send an email to the admin.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
