3 weeks out and long lost period suddenly makes a comback1 Ugg

I'm 51 years old and 3 weeks out from surgery. I hadn't had a period in almost a year and suddenly it reared its ugly head 3 days ago. Has anyone else experienced this? How many months did this continue?

Hormones maybe the change of life maybe?? wish I could help you

I would call your Dr. both your surgeon and GYN. Menopause can be funny like that though but get medical attention just to be safe. Don't miss my period at all!

The exact same thing happened to me. My surgery was Oct. 2012, then had another 3 months later. No more since then. I just attributed it to hormones. Did you check in with your GYN? I haven't, just wondering.

I'm 50 and April 16 was going to be my official "im menopausal" day. (A year without periods). And damn, if I didn't get it a week before my surgery March 20. Thus the countdown begins again. Sigh. Dropping excess weight can mess with your cycles. It's not anything to worry about unless you've been a year without a cycle and then have bleeding.

I have a IUD Mirena and PCOS and was not getting a period at all. I am a year out of surgery and had my first one right after surgery and then two more in the past year so a total of 3 periods since surgery.
