Exercise and Excess Skin

Hi, Just wonderin about exercise and excess skin. Its a concern of mine even though I havent had surgery yet.

So, for those of you that did exercise/weight train, did you have alot of excess skin?

What about those that didnt workout?

I know there are alot of other factors like age, weight, etc.. But I'd like to do my best to prevent it as much as I could.

If any of you have any other tips and tricks, please let me know!

Well I got the answer to the question, apparently it is $10,500 in Margate and over $14,000 in Wellington. Although its the same doctor the practices are separate and charge different prices. Although Margate is over an hour away, I think it's worth checking out. Hope that helps someone

Mine is 16,550 with Dr.De La Cruz Munoz at University of Miami. I did a lot of research before picking him but after everything I read felt the most comfortable with him. Where are you located asdamato22?

I'm in Jupiter

I'm in Boynton Beach. I mean the actual surgeon's fee's for me were 5.550, and the hospital charges 11K. But i get a private room and the whole wing is for post-op bariatric patient's. Did you end up going to a seminar tonight?

Yea the higher price is due to what the hosptial charges. Both my sister and I had our surgeries with him. She had hers 3 weeks before I did.

Oh, and if you go to Northwest medical center instead of coral springs medical center, they are all private rooms also! I loved it!!!

How long was your hospital stay? I'm getting nervous, i'm a week away.... also how long did you have to do the pre-op diet for?

My surgery was around 11am on Friday and I went home on Sunday. It wasnt bad at all!!! Are you on facebook? Theres a May 2013 sleeve group.

My preop diet was for 2 weeks and I only lost 4.5lbs. But technically I was on it for 11 days because my date was changed.

Yes I have facebook. What did you have to do for your pre-op? I have to drink optifast shakes, 5 a day, and then i can have water, sugar free jello, and crystal light if i want. This has to be one of the hardest things ever!!! But 1 week down, 1 to go!

I had to drink 5 slimfast shakes and one real meal of a protein and vegetable. I thought it sucked, and my postop diet sucks too. I cant wait to add in chicken and steak!! Should be another 3 weeks.

Anyway, if you are interested in the facebook group, message me your name and I will add you.

All of us are either preop, or just had surgery.

Well that def sounds better then my pre-op diet!! Oy! My post-op diet will be 3 days clear, 3 days full, 1 week purred, and 2 weeks soft i think? I'm going off memory right now. What stage are you in right now? Sorry for all the questions lol.

Im 10 days out. I can have broth, jello, yogurt, milk, protein shakes, eggs, ricotta cheese and cottage cheese. But they call it the puree stage. Im gonna ask what that means at my appt tmrw.

Mine was also $16550 with Dr. De la Cruz-Munoz at Univ of Miami but that includes the hospital stay, surgeons fees, etc. good luck with your surgeries and post op diet girls!
