PEOPLE WHO ONLY DID 3 day liquid pre op diet

Recommended Posts

Yup, but in this case we did manage to resolve it ourselves. At least until someone decided that us higher BMI sorts should now be attacked en masse, regardless of our defense of our lower BMI siblings' rights to treat their weight issues, too...

:P Nah, too busy ordering Protein Shake samples to start testing to actually get testy over a couple of over-the-top statements someone made in righteous anger because of a couple other people's stupid statements. It's all good.

(LisaLoseAlotx2, I am just teasing, truly! I get why it upset you, just think you didn't think about the scope of what you said when you first posted :) )

En masse or en massive? ;-)

I am a high BMIer too. And I was hovering around 400 lbs.

Holy crap on a cracker! I don't do drugs, but am actively seeking out a valium after reading this thread.

I have three things to say:

1) Glad to see things have worked out. Newcomers to the thread, please don't resurrect the bad feelings which occurred at the start of this thread, and fortunately have since been worked out.

2) If I had known about the sleeve when I was at a 30 BMI, you can bet your booty I would have had it done. I knew my eating was out of control back then, I knew regular "diets" didn't work for me and it would have saved me years of heartache and health problems.

3) Surgeons in Mexico are just as qualified, if not more so, than those in the US. There are good and bad ones, just like here in the US. The key is to do your research. As long as you have done so, you will be fine.

I had to stop reading by page 7

This did nothing but prove to me that fat (I mean seriously obese) people have some bigger issues than those of us with lower BMI's. Just the idea that anyone would hijack Rollargirls thread and call her a b*tch and telling her she needs mental help is absolutely disgusting.

I have also witnessed first hand some of the more obese women attempting to bully me on this site with snarky' date=' rude "I know more than you" attitudes. Bleck.

I would hope that anyone over a 40 BMI would get their own line of mental help for why they ate themselves into oblivion. While a few of us are struggling at the 200 lb mark, we sure didn't AVOID the inevitable by allowing ourselves to get to 300, 400 or 500 lbs.

I am with Aphrodite...this thread needs to be buried very deep and a bonfire started on top.[/quote']

Thanks for belittling and insulting all of us who ever reached 300+ lbs. Just what we need - yet another person pointing out how fat we "allowed ourselves" to become. As one of the "more obese" women on here who has never bullied or been "snarky" toward anyone on this site, I am so delighted that you decided to spew your venom upon me.

I did take the time to read the entire thread. If you had bothered, maybe you would have seen that things had been resolved, and it was unneccessary to add further hurtful comments.

I agree with you. That comment was way out of line. Let's let this thread die.

I'm kinda reminded about a scene from "Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?"

The quote that comes to mind is: " I slaughtered this horse last Tuesday. I think it's startin' to turn."

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
