I'm not really sure if I should post this; for the most part this site is positive and offers great support for those of us that need it.

Many people on this site have made connections and have talked away from the forum. I am definitely one of them.

With a heavy heart I'm sad to announce that someone that has become a great friend in a short amount if time, livesaveremt, passed away Monday. He had his surgery at the end of February. So far, they are saying he had a blood clot (a known complication from the surgery) that traveled up into his heart and lungs.

Fred, you were a great guy and will be missed. You were always a positive support system and a rock to lean on.

God Speed. We'll take it from here.....

Hi everyone' date=' I'm considering the sleeve and after reading this I'm now scared.......lost and confused[/quote']

You have to understand, there are tens of thousands of people from all over the world on this site. So, as harsh as this may sound, there is bound to be one or two that end with complications.

Rip Fred :(

That and any surgery comes with risks. Obesity comes with risks. LIFE comes with risks.

R.I.P. Fred

I thank God everyday that I was given this opportunity to be a healthier person and live longer. I will now thank him to continue to give me life so that I can continue this journey.

So sorry to hear that Fred has passed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during a very difficult time. Also, to you NikkiV1986.

Very sad. RIP Fred.

This is very sad....I feel horrible....Fred and I were sleeved on the same day.....he was a great support....as I sit here in the hospital whining about a little complication, I feel really stupid.....I send my condolences out to his family.

Byte was indeed a fellow patient. Wow, Im truly sad.

I don't know where the word byte came from dang Swype.

So very sad. Rest in peace Fred. Thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends.
