Happiness. Fitting in a regular sized isolation gown and I could tie the waist and the neck without chocking me. The things you don't realize truly affect your daily lives. Before I had to always order X large gowns and hide them so no one would use them.

Hello all! I am excited that I found this group! I am a 39 year old mother of a handsome eight year old son and a wife of 8 years! I am hoping to get my life back. I have always been a big lady but I found myself at my highest weight. For many years I did phentermine pills but after my son i hated how i felt and the pills stopped working. I just kept adding on the pounds. I was so sad to go to a amusement park and was kicked off a ride because I did not fit. I was sleeved on June 17, 2013 and am excited to say that on July 27, 2013 I got on a ride at the same park with my son! It was snug but I fit! I am excited to have many more experiences like this ????

HI. I am now 6 weeks 4 days out from my sleeve. NOW' date=' I feel like this is a strange question so soon after surgery. but I am just now able to eat ALMOST normal. And I feel like I am eating too much and am kind of scared. I get a little owey if I get a bite or two too much, but never feel sick or anything. My surgeon told me yesterday that I can have as much as 900 calories, and I think I am a bit under that. But still feel worried. Is any June sleevers experiencing that?[/quote']

I did....had the same problem....I thought I made a mistake! Doc says all is well! And now 7 weeks out I'm not eating enough! Go figure! I'm stalled too so double frustration....hang in there!

Started Water aeróbic classes yesterday. Havnt put a Swimsuit on in over 15 years or so. But I did it, and loved the class. Not to shabby for a 52 year old....:-)

i was sleeved on 6/24 trying to be more creative in what i eat as it is getting a bit boring but I won't do anything i am not supposed to yet. I had to fly today and flight connecting times were tight, so stopped at McDonalds next to my gate, got a cheeseburger - only ate the meat and cheese with some mustard and the onions.

Thanks for Premier Protein - but hard to take when i fly

But what about chicken, ,, I have heard so many say they struggle with chicken - why is that? is there a best way to have it?

I have a problem with white meat. My Nut says that a lot of sleevers have this problem and should try to eat dark meat because it tends to be more tender and juicier than white meat and our skeeves are able to handle it better.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
