I'm on day 5 and doing well. I'm so glad I'm off that Isopure. Ugh! It tasted ok, but the heartburn was insane! I'm back to my Protein shakes. I use Pure Protein. The 1st time I had some veggie broth (I'm a vegetarian) I wanted to cry, it tasted so good. I made some sugar free chocolate pudding w/ almond milk. Didn't set up the best, but it's GOOD! I'm also able to tolerate the Butternut Squash Soup from Trader Joe's. I've been introducing one new thing at a time to see what I don't tolerate. So far, so good.

I feel like my full time job is making sure I get all my fluids in. Sip, sip, sip, sip. Yesterday was my best day so far. I got all the protein (60g) and 54oz of fluids (supposed to do 64oz). Every day seems a little better.

Well, I better get another walk in. Take care and blessings to all who have surgery tomorrow! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

My surgery date is June 20. This week I met with my surgeon and I am good to go. No pre-op diet. My top weight was 311' date=' today I am 280. I hope to get down to 160. I am 45yr old and have have overweight since about 10yrs old. I am so excited and scared to death at the same time. In all honesty, I am only afraid of failure. Afraid I will go through all this and work so hard just to find out the surgery doesn't work for me. This is as illogical fear. I'm glad to get it off my chest.[/quote']

We are the same age! My sleeve date is the 24th. I started at 301 & now 286. I start my pre op dief tomorrow. Mine involves just a low carb diet. Thank goodness. My fear is the recovery the day after and if I get sick. I have a high tolerance for pain, but you just never know. Good luck and hope all goes well for you. {{Hugs}}

Today is POD 4, I switched over to full liquids today! I did good yesterday getting all my fluids in with minor gas and discomfort. Today we went to whole foods store to get soy yogurt and chai tea concentrate. While there my hubby made himself a lunch from their awesome hotbar and I got some of the turkey Soup broth with no chunks. Oh boy that was good. I also picked up a small cup of chicken and dumpling soup, I plan on ninja blending it down to a liquid tomorrow..

Hi Everyone! Eagerly awaiting my 06/20/13 surgery date. I am stocking up on the things I can have in the first couple of weeks. Isopure, chicken broth, Powerade Zero for the first couple days. Also getting baby food (apple sauce), pudding, yogurt, cottage cheese. I plan to make some Chicken Vegetable Soup next weekend. I will puree it and freeze it in small portions.

I hear that popcicles are great in the first couple weeks. I do not do Nurtrasweet (aspartame), so I will be looking for one with Splenda (sucalose).

Anyone have any suggestions of thing to stock up on?

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
