I notice there is a large lump above the largest incision on my side. I have had two nurses look at it and they talked to the surgeon. Surgeon says it is most likely a bulge where stitches inside are just in swollen tissue and it will go away on its own. Never heard of this so I thought I would oat it in case anyone else ends up in the same situation. dinner tonight was some beef broth and one baby bite of jello.

I had the same thing. It was very swollen and "lumpy" around that incision. My surgeon stated the same thing about the stitches in that area. I am10 days post op now and the swelling is gradually going down around that incision. So, it should get better.
