I was scheduled to leave at 5:15 this AM and missed my flight... I'm always early to the airport whenever I travel and this time i took my time...got there 20minutes before boarding. i'm so mad at myself! Why must i do this to myself?! Self Sabotage...I guess. I called Samuel (the driver) and he was very nice about it. He said i'll be the last one to pick up. I'm on my way to San Diego now. I should be there by 2:00pm...at this point no turning back. This is real and i've gotta do this!!

Why the sad face?

Novam, I still don't know your face. And I'm still doing that too. "Maybe I'll get the flu, or bronchitus, maybe this snow won't stop (Missouri) and the flight will be delayed by days. Maybe maybe maybe what if I have an abnormally large liver dispite the preop, and they send me home?"

I should probably be on something for this.

The sad face is because i'm having major "aha" moments. With Grammy highlighting my "missed flight/ self sabotage" it's become so real to me that i'm obviously going to have to learn to deal with emotions i was covering up or suppressing with food. I'm realizing my obesity is much deeper than my love for carbs etc! Thank you for your words of encouragement Grammy!

Couldn't agree more!!! You missed your flight!! It happens. I really don't think it's self sabotage!!!! If it was, you would have REALLY missed it ;) Not missed it enough to get in by 2:00!! You're on your way and you're going to so great!! Yes, at some point we are all going to deal with our emotional baggage when we drop some of our physical baggage...

But... For me?! I'm late. A lot. Do you wanna know a big secret about why I'm late?!? Because I'm fat and lazy with very little energy!!! And I when I was down 100lbs, I was late a whole lot less!!!!!! Lol

Cut yourself a break!! This is a big deal and you're allowed a few mistakes along the way! Pick your chin up and quit feeling sorry for yourself. This is a GOOD day and we're all here cheering you on!!! Have a great trip and a wonderful surgery!! Keep us all updated on how you are feeling!!! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
