New to VerticalSleeveTalk

Hi everyone

I am currently completing my pre-surgery evaluations. My name is Jennifer and I am going to turn 45 tomorrow!! I have done my initial consultation, pre-op class, support group, cardiology eval, primary care eval, GI eval. Tomorrow I go back to my surgeon & hopefully we tentatively schedule for mid-March. I have my sleep study tomorrow night and an echo stress test on Thursday. Next Monday I have my psych eval and next Thursday my NUT visit. So...if everything goes ok, my doc said we can go ahead and get me sleeved! This timeframe really works for my work and school schedule (I work full time and I am finishing up my bachelor's...I graduate this May. I'm taking 2 15 week online classes right now and will start a 7 week "live" class the last week in March). I have 2 sons from my first marriage, a step son and step daughter from my 2nd marriage, and 2 granddaughters and a gradson (from my steps...my grandson and step daughter live with my husband, my younger son and me).

I am really gearing up for this surgery, and I cannot wait to start losing this weight. I need to lose over 100 lbs and have not been able to do this on my own.

I am also a member of OH and have learned so much about his process already. Any advice/comments are welcome!!!

Thanks and nice to "meet" you all!!

Hi! Wow, you are doing fabulous! Thank you so much for the advice...it's still so hard to contemplate the reality of eating (or not eating lol!).

HI!! 30 lbs is AWESOME! What a nice time of year to be in Florida...my parents live in Melbourne now. Thanks!

Yes it is! Don't know if I can take the bitter cold anymore. I'm always cold now whereas a month ago I was always warm....funny how weight loss does that to you!
