  1. I am so excited. My surgeon's office was able to tentatively schedule my surgery for 3/19. If I can't get this done in March, I am probably going to have to postpone until August, and I really do not want to wait that long. I am still finishing up my eval's, so as long as everything goes well with them and they get the reports back to my surgeon asap, I should be good to go....here's keeping my fingers crossed (and here's me being the annoying follow-up phone call girl!).
  2. So my surgeon's office changed my tentative date from 3/18 to 3/26....this date can still work with my work/school schedule, but if it goes any further into April, I will NOT be getting surgery until at least August. I have completed all of my evals, except the NUT. I see the bariatric nurse tomorrow at 3:00 (the NUT is on maternity leave). They have everything else except for my sleep study eval (as far as I know...that was the one that pushed back my surgery date). I emailed/left a vm for the insurance specialist, but she hasn't returned my call/email, but I'll check & see tomorrow when I'm there to see the NUT if they have gotten that back yet. I am trying to not stress out and just working on getting ready for surgery. I've ordered and received my vits and protein powder for my 2 week pre-op diet, I've gotten new jammies & a robe for the hospital, I ordered some Unjury stuff to get me started after surgery and also have bought some other stuff, too. Any other 3/26 surgery dates out there?
  3. Hi everyone I am currently completing my pre-surgery evaluations. My name is Jennifer and I am going to turn 45 tomorrow!! I have done my initial consultation, pre-op class, support group, cardiology eval, primary care eval, GI eval. Tomorrow I go back to my surgeon & hopefully we tentatively schedule for mid-March. I have my sleep study tomorrow night and an echo stress test on Thursday. Next Monday I have my psych eval and next Thursday my NUT visit. So...if everything goes ok, my doc said we can go ahead and get me sleeved! This timeframe really works for my work and school schedule (I work full time and I am finishing up my bachelor's...I graduate this May. I'm taking 2 15 week online classes right now and will start a 7 week "live" class the last week in March). I have 2 sons from my first marriage, a step son and step daughter from my 2nd marriage, and 2 granddaughters and a gradson (from my steps...my grandson and step daughter live with my husband, my younger son and me). I am really gearing up for this surgery, and I cannot wait to start losing this weight. I need to lose over 100 lbs and have not been able to do this on my own. I am also a member of OH and have learned so much about his process already. Any advice/comments are welcome!!! Thanks and nice to "meet" you all!!
