January Bandsters???

Recommended Posts

So far, nothing has been cancelled...just not 'cleared'. Tomorrow, God on my side - I'll walk out of the Caridiologist with that clearance...and Tuesday will still be THE BIG DAY. Shouldn't be an issue, my Stress Test, etc. were no more than three weeks ago!!!!!

Send some good vibes my way!!!!!!

That is great news! I will be sending prayers your way. We are only four days away from our new way of living!! I can't wait to start shedding my "fat suit" I've been wearing for the past ten years.

ps: Thank you babygotback, so are so cheerful and inspiring with your posts!

Take Care!

Man, I'm am so sick of broth, Protein Shakes etc. I've been doing them for 12 days now and still have 5 more days! I get to go to Mushie next Thursday and I am counting the days. My doctor still won't let me have meat, but I can have refried Beans, cottage cheese, soft egg, no hot sauce, yogurt, and I am even looking forward to cottage cheese.

Sherilynn, I hope everything goes okay, please let us know after your cardiologist visit.

Also, maillady2, I added you to the master list, and I've sent an email to Angy (the starter of this thread) to update her original post. She should update in a day or two.

Okay girls! My husband was dying to know how much I lost since he says I look a lot thinner. I started pre op at 190, surgery date at 186 and tonight after eating and drinking all day, I weigh 175!!!

I didn't want to weigh because don't we weigh more at night?

I can't wait to see how much I weigh in the morning!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

So, from my pre op I lost 15 pounds in 4 weeks!!!

I am doing the happy dance!

Congrats! That is wonderful! I am so happy for you. You are doing awesome. I hope I do as well. Only 4 more days til I get my band. You are truely an inspiration. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts. Gigi:)

Hello,

I get banded the day before and I am excited. I did notice that you mentioned straws - my doc said no straws. Also, the books I have say no straws either. I think it puts air in there and can make the pouch expand which can cause problems with the band.

Just thought I should let you know what I was told...

Good luck next week!!:D

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
