Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

Recommended Posts

I'm golfing today and walking like heck when I'm off the cart. I swing so many times for 9 holes. Does that count as upper body work?? LOL!

It's better than what I've been doing the last couple of days! I have been back from vacation for DAYS but haven't been able to talk myself into doing c25k...

Good morning VST!!!

Slacker in the house!!

Anybody running today??

Get going on that treadmill! Treat yourself to something nice ( not food related) afterwards as a reward.

I know:) it is not in me to shame anyone. Speaking of MIA, where has globe trotter been? She was very active for 2 months and then, poof, she is gone. I hope she is doing well.

I remember she said something in one thread ( I can't remember where) that she was going to be in the field or something like that.. Traveling and would be out of touch for a bit. But it seems that it's been a long time since then.

Ok I'm back on the wagon... I mean treadmill! :P

Just finished week 1 day 3 AGAIN :D

It was mentally hard starting back up again, but it went pretty good!

Oh and a funny NSV my slim 17 year old mouthy daughter walked in as I was running and sat down and stared at me. I look over at her and gave her a friendly hand gesture :P (just joking ok not really)

She says "what?" Then she says "you look really good" !!!

What the what??? From the same girl that just last week as we were out pointed out my sleeveless arms and asked "are you going to have surgery on those?" 0_o

She said I looked good, and I looked good running! :)

I need a push and shove to get me back on the wagon. I have all the excuses in the world (work and home have been crazy!). Leaving on Thursday for another trip to California (LA this time), so I should be able to manage 2 runs before I leave.

I'll probably run again tomorrow.

I will always be in week one, it seems. I guess you guys can call me the welcoming committee for any newbies to the c25k :P

Yeah Amy I almost tripped when my daughter said that!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
