Texarkana Bandsters

I would like to hear from some Texarkana Bandsters about their experiences. re: doctors, pre and post surgery, and how things are going for them now. I am considering the lap band.

You might need to say big okie,,, and maybe next year we can refer to me as little okie...lol. I live in the very southeast corner of Okla. So yes, that's kinda close to Texarkana. It's about a hour away. I work in DeQueen, AR and it only takes me about 18 min to get to work. I'm excided for you. You have waited so long. I noticed you have been trying to get this approved since April. Only if you have time, would you tell me why it took so long for your insurance to approve? I haven't even started the approval yet so I'm afraid it will be a while for me, but the insurance company told me after I send in all of my test result (having them all done on Jan 8th) I should have an answer within two weeks. Is this wishful thinking on my part?

Hello, everyone. I just wanted to let yall know... I'm home. No complications or scarries. Feel kinda tire and sleepy, but I wanted yall to know that everything went smooth. I'm finally ready to go! aw-right!

Have a good nite everyone. zzzzzzzzzzzzz

lol!!! I'm ready.... Jamie called me today to go over everything. She told me I would have to be on the liquid diet before and after. Yuk.... You take care of yourself:bored ! What part of texas are you from?

I know you can do the liquid diet. I did, if can anyone can. Just think about how much healthier you will be.

I live in the contry, but close to Mt. Pleasant. MP is about 60 miles from Texarkana.

later,

lisa

I know I'm gonna try my best, but I know it will be hard. A friend of mine just had her surgery done @ Dallas and he had her do an atkins diet 10 days before and she lost the 10 lbs required. I was hoping I could do that and then the liquid diet after. But then again I guess doing the liquid diet after would be easier if you done got use't to it. I'm sure I will survive.... Hope you r still feeling okay....

;) I don't have a surgery date yet. I have all of my testing on Jan 8th and will go from there on the surgery date. I have to be approved by the insurance company. I hope it wont be long afterwards. I meet all of the criteria just have to clear everything else. Have you heard from Lisa G today? I don't see where she has been on here. I hope she is still doing good. Your husband is planning to have the lapband done. right? My husband could use it and I hope if I do well he will consider it too. You and I have about the same start weight. I'm sure I gained some over Christmas. If I don't watch it I will gain 5 lbs or more a week.

oh wana i thought u had a date i heard from lisa early this morning she said sha was ok and no my husband isn't having sx he's a skinny fart and i have not gained any this last 2 weeks which is surprising because i've ate all the stuff just not as much as last yr. and i havenot exercised much i had a bad cold last week and didn't feel like walking and i don't have an excuse for this week

i'm sad today my husband and i had to bury my mom's dog today she got run over by a car. we live in the country and the dog was a farm dog and she wasn't in a fenced in yard and mother lives on a very busy farm market road and we all knew that the dog would probably get hit but is was so sad mother is 83 and had really got attached to the dog.

sorry you had to listen to all my problems
