Our stats are very similar...highest weight 315' date=' pre surgery weight 300, 3 month appt weight 264...

How are you doing with diet and exercise? I seem to get of track a lot.[/quote']

I track my calories on the "Lose It" app on my iPhone. It's a free app which also gives you a pie chart nutritional breakdown of Protein, fats and carbs of what you've eaten. I eat about 1200 calories a day and try to get at least 60 grams protein but don't always get there. The exercise component I've really slaked off on because of my schedule being really crazy the past two months. I do a lot of exercises for my back (have stenosis among other back issues) which incorporates some yoga every morning. It's not cardio but I guess it helps with strength and flexibility. Better than nothing. Now that my schedule is calming down I'm going to get back in the gym and if the weather cooperates start riding my bike. I also want to try hot yoga.

I'm very inconsistant with my exercise too. Super busy schedule. I use my fitness pal to track my food, I use my fitness coach for the Wii for exercise. Still fighting head hunger? I am. I have back issues too. Arthritis and bulging disc. Good thing is my feet don't hurt anymore since the weight loss. I keep my calories at about 800 when I am behaving. Lol. Carbs at 60. Have you gained any weight back? If you're having a bad week our anything? My friend did hot yoga...I would pass out. Lol.

I haven't had any weight gains but a couple of slow weeks where I lost only a pound or maybe 1/2 pound. I seem to average about 1&1/2 lb a week. I battle head hunger a lot too but I seem to have better self-control most of the time now than I ever had before surgery. I do eat things occasionally that are less than helpful choices for weight loss but I can't eat very much so it hasn't hurt me do far. Very sugary foods make me nauseous so I don't want that stuff as much, LOL! I crave a bowl of Cereal sometimes so I have a little 1/2 cup custard bowl for that. Cracks me up when I think how much I used to eat. I suggest you try upping your daily calories to 1000 and add in some more Protein and also a little Omega 3 fats like avocado, egg, olive oil and see if that helps with the head hunger. The Omega 3 fats are very important for the sense of satiation and for your overall health.

I had my surgery at a new hospital so they are just starting the support group in July. Yes I still drink the shakes although not every day. However, I find that I'm less likely to start grazing when I have a Protein Shake for a snack or after I work out. So since I've noticed that I'm going to try to drink them more regularly but as a snack not a meal. I want solid food for a meal.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
