I was practicing not eating and drinking at the same time before surgery. I thought I had it down. I'm 4 days post op and I'm eating cream Soups, cream of wheat, pudding, etc. Keep forgetting those are foods! Just keep drinking!

Hello ya'll! I was sleeved on Feb. 4th so far I have done great down 26lbs(16 pre-op, 10 post) had some trouble with acid but got some meds for that and doing great. It is hard getting in 64ozs of Water a day, I do about 32-40ozs. When I eat I only eat about 2ozs but still not really wanting to eat. The doc told me the only thing he wanted me to do for the next 30 days even if I couldn't do anything else was walk, drink water and no bending at the waist. Go back to work tomorrow not sure how that will go since I still get really tired but gonna try.

No bending at the waist? That's the first time I've heard that. Did he say why?

Sharts suck, but Constipation is worse IMHO! Stay vigilant and don't become complacent with farts!

Hi all, I was sleeved on Feb 5! Im down 17lbs post op. I had a difficult time getting the liquids in too but I found warm liquids helped the most! Gas was a huge issue for the first few days so I figured out to drink Water in between sips of the Protein. Ginger tea helps with nausea and gas! Heating pad is a must to help with the gas too. Dont forget the gas x! Any narcotic caused me to have major nausea and almost vomit! So I have not taken any pain meds except for liquid advil. Which is an anti-inflamitory! Walking and keep moving helps move the gas. It gets better each day! Keep up the good work! Hope this helps!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
