well, I did get in 64oz of Water yesterday and it really was a job for me to do this. I even had a diet coke and then remembered no soda. I am a person that has at least 2 to 3 diet sodas a day and it is really going to be hard to give up ( I just like the bubbles I guess). When I think about it maybe it is a good idea to give up soda, old habits are hard to break but if diet soda is off the list of drinks after surgery then it will be gone. Just don't want any tummy problems.

I dont know if any of you are flying any long distances, but I ordered some protien drinks in small plastic bottles where you just add Water and shake. I thought it would be handy for the plane. Then just throw away when finished.

So my name is Jana and I guess I will be kicking off the month for us. Was scheduled for Feb 28 but set for March 1 now. Started my 20 day preop diet yesterday--protien drinks, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, broth, SF Jello and popsicles. Not a plain yogurt person, but I got one down today. Yesterday was tough, but today was a little better minus the headache. Counting those bad boys down...18 more to go!

I'm flying in at noon and have surgery that afternoon. Thinking I should have rethought the whole travel and surgery in one day lol.

Well March sleevers, time is marching on it is already February 11th and I am now 4 weeks away from my surgery March 11. I went to my family doctor this morning and had my blood work completed and on Thursday will be going for my chest x-ray. I will start my pre-op liver detox on Feb 15th so things are moving along. I need to go grocery shopping sometime this week to get all the legal foods in for my detox. I hope everyone else is doing fine today, have a great week.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
