I have my fitness pal but I dont get why you add people on it? is it not just for putting in the food you eat?

smallbird, You add people so you can see what they're eating and interact with them on MFP. I've found it VERY helpful to have the support and encouragement of my MFP friends.

My Fitness Pal is an App you add to your phone that lets you log your meals and track you calories, work out, Water, etc. There is a database full of food items to search. You can also add your friends to see how they have been doing and motivate them.

I was confused too. What I've discovered is if you go to the website and click on your profile at the top there is a banner that gives you the option to search for members. That's where you can search by member name. Haven't seen this option for the app.
