February Sleevers

I'm set up for February 4th. Seems like forever away. People keep telling me, "oh don't worry". It bugs me cause I'm not worried. What seems to keep popping in my head is, am I doing the right thing.

I would like to here what others are thinking, going through.

My Doctors plan is two days preop clear liquid, not 10 like I've been reading on here. Anyone else similar?

Thanks,

Kimo

Great job!! it's wonderful to hear everyone's success stories so far! I have been absent for a while and I havn't been able to keep up' date=' but it looks like everyone is doing really well![/quote']

Its so hard to keep up since you've gone back to work and into the swing of normal life again. So glad your doing well!!

I already feel like a whole new person! My confidence is much much higher. I've cut my hair short after having super long hair for years and "hiding" behind it. I bought crazy bright neon Skechers sneakers, when I'm used to wearing mostly black so I don't stand out. Have gotten a ton of compliments on both the hair and shoes (even the big burly mechanic, when I got my oil changed, said "I just have to tell you, I really love your shoes." lol). My car is an ancient tan tiny 2 door Cavalier, and I'm test driving a big bright light blue used Ford Edge SUV. I just feel great. People are noticing my weight loss. I've put the fat jeans away. Should give them away or toss them. Most of the jeans in my dresser are now too big!

I feel like a new person too. My loss has been slower than others here but what I have gained in such a short amount of time is priceless. I no longer fear airplane seats- I fit without spilling into my neighbor. I just completed my first day of C2K yesterday. I get tons of compliments from coworkers on my improved shaped. As of yesterday I am 2 lbs from onederland. Life is good. Congrats to all Feb sleever successes.

Yes that is very very common with eating too fast or with dense proteins (meat) or rice/pasta. Feels like it is trying to push through the bottom of your throat!

Very true. The surgery and the subsequent diet teach us what to eat, but not how to eat. Like most if us, I have a very hectic lifestyle, and seldom have the opportunity to relax while eating. I guess I'll slow down when the discomfort gets to me!

Sleeved on 2/25' date=' down 40lbs. I went from 235 to 194, size 18 to size 12![/quote']

I'm similar. Sleeved 2/28

Size 18 or 2xl to 12 medium.

Sleeved on 2/25. Down 55 pounds. Lost an additional 110 on the six month pre-op diet required by my insurance' date=' plus 12 more on the two week pre-op liquid diet. Starting weight on Aug. 1, 2012: 484. Current weight: 307. Total loss: 177 pounds.[/quote']
