It is so hard not to cheat on the liquid diet. I am on day 5 and I am hungry. broth, Jello and popsicle are getting old along with the Protein Drinks. Anyone else having the same problem?

yes I am having a problem with it two and i called the doctor and asked him what was on his mind so he allowed me on can of Tomato Soup a day and that makes me feel better and the people at work think im sane again lol

I solved the problem perfectly myself. Every year, each sibling (five of us) go to my mother's house. We decide what we want for out birthday meal and she makes it and the whole family celebrates. My choice is always roast beef, mashed potatoes, peas and German chocolate or Angel cake for dessert. Yum.

But my birthday is April 12th and I was sleeved on March 5th. What to do? We solved it by having my birthday celebration before the surgery date.

It was beautiful. Presents, cake and the most succulent, rare roast beef I've ever had.

Win Win.

And I will be on solid foods when my real birthday arrives. I will probably Celebrate with a bite of mashed potatoes, Soup and a Protein Drink. LOL

Mine tends to use 36 and then oversew. But it also depends on the patient. I got 34 with oversew. There really isn't a big difference.

I'm on day 3 post-op. I'm still having a fair amount of pain in my stomach. It feels like I took a couple donkey kicks to the gut. Nothing some liquid Percocet doesn't take care of though. I'm doing lots of walking. I had a Protein Shake today, which was my first real calories since Sunday night. I am taking fluids pretty easily. So far today I have 30 oz of fluids and 30 grams of Protein down and it's only noon. I'm hoping to go back to work on Sunday. It's looking good so far!

Good luck to all those who are getting sleeved today!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
