I was sleeved yesterday and got home today. So bloated with gas! Ugh...I'm walking and hoping to get it passed. Any suggestions?

Caspinlli712, I am scheduled for surgery Monday as well and I am also worried and excited at the same time but worried. I am so glad to see that it is normal because I was beginning to think twice about this. I know I need this more than anything. How are you doing on your pre-op diet?

Hi UPRR, it sounds like we should be sleeve buddies. Like you I am so nervous and keep second guessing myself should I go thru with this but I always just look in the mirror and know I have to do this. I am just sick of being overweight and always the big girl in the room. I just want my life back and have some fun. I think we are both are experiencing very normal feelings. I will be so happy next week at this time. Good luck and keep me posted. We can compare notes and help each other thru this chapter of our lives. God Bless. Cheryl

Oh suck! :( Did they give you a reason why?

yes...my stupid dr office didnt tell me that the hospital needed there part paid 3 days before surgery so they are making me push it back to Monday. the girl that works for my dr is an idiot and soooo rude. i finally had a breakdown on the phone today with the NP and she promised me that that girl will not be allowed to call me anymore! but its only a few more days...

I had my pre-op today and got the green light for my surgery on the 21. I was also told to start my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. They want me to use the "new directions" shakes (I heard they are awful). Please wish me luck. Good luck and prayers go to all my fellow sleevers. Hugs

I'm experiencing something and I need to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. I'm on day 7 of the pre-op diet' date=' and for the past 2 days I've had unbelievably bad breath. My wife could smell it from across the room. I can taste it in my mouth, and my tongue even feels weird, almost numb. Is this from going into ketosis from the diet? I've done the Atkins diet several times, and never had anything anywhere near this bad.[/quote']

I did an all Protein diet similar to what most of us are doing for preop and it's ketosis and also from all the protein... Listerene strips!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
