I am only 5 weeks out today, so I've been where you are, but I am not an expert. I was on liquids for two weeks after surgery, then mushy/pureed for two weeks and this week I started solids.

It does get easier. I had to make myself drink my shakes for the first few weeks. I have a hard time figuring out when I get full, the sensation comes very fast. I go from nothing to overfull very quickly.

Every surgeon has different instructions but I am on week 2, and not supposed to begin the puree stage until week 3. My first week was all about hydration and rest, I am just now focusing on adding in more protein. Take it slow...it will get easier, at least thats what I keep reading and saying to myself!

Butternut squash soup, lentils soup are really good, kashi go lean oatmeal is high in protein and very yummy. I'm 9 months out and trust me it does get better don't worry, start introducing new food you might spit out some more than other but it's very normal. Most of us went through that. Good luck
