    How are you tracking?

I watch it!! One time it scanned in a totally different food. LOL

    rice rice rice

Puree is disgusting. I basically ate fat free refried beans during this stage. I also had grits (I live in the south). I sprinkled unjury over both of them. I moved on to soft foods a week early, but I am NOT telling you to do it. I just could NOT do pureed.

    vitamin crisis!

I was told it was because of the sugar content somewhere along the line. Can anyone else confirm? Hmmm I think I'm wrong though but I already posted sorry!
  5. Just throwing it out there.........wouldn't it be nice NOT to have to buy clothes for a temporary stage? If we could just post what size we needed and someone that has "shrunk" out of that size would mail them to you and then you just pay it forward to the next person? No cash.....just people helping others.

We should start a clothing swap!

That is great! I am glad we do. I might still end up going to Goodwill. A friend of mine just lost 100 lbs on her own doing herbal stuff and she is shopping there, she says "I have all the name brands now" LOL

    Who isn't obese this morning?

Congrats!! Still obese here........ha ha. I just started the journey though! Happy for you.
  8. I had it for a while too and they gave me a medication for ulcers. It was chalky like some of those over the counter medicines. I ended up having an allergic reaction to it, but I was able to take it for two weeks before that happened, but it was long enough for it to fix whatever was wrong. My doctor said it could be an ulcer or just irritation along the suture line.

    pre_op liquid diet. Im starving

I just know it was not a pleasant two weeks of dieting, but I did follow what my physician told me to do, and yes I did survive it. For those of you who don't have to do it or get easier diets, YAY for you!!!!! But honestly, follow your doctor's wishes because there is logic behind their rules. Oh....BEST OF LUCK!! This is a short two weeks to the NEW YOU!

    vitamin crisis!

How are you going to take them post op? I bought liquid vitamins for post op so I wouldn't have to worry about crushing them up. It was Centrum brand. If you are pre op now, I would just get some regular vitamin pills that you take.

New sleeve but iit doesnt feel restricted

I bought some 4 oz and 8 oz containers for just that reason. It makes it easier for me. Being overfull is VERY uncomfortable. I made that mistake a few times and after reading on here, I saw that suggestion. It helps me.

New sleeve but iit doesnt feel restricted

I am 6 weeks out now and I can drink 6-8 oz of shakes, and I can eat about 6 oz of food. I can drink (sip) a pretty good amount too. I have been told by others on here that its too much......I just know how it feels. I do know when I eat to much though. Seems to be a fine line.
  14. This is my first visit here. I had my surgery on Dec 11th and I have lost a total of 31 lbs (including my pre op liquids). I have not lost ANY weight in two weeks. I am stressing out so bad. I keep bouncing between the same two pounds. Is this NORMAL? I am back to exercising. I am logging every thing I eat. I am eating a little over 1000 calories a day. I am getting my protein in. This is quite disheartening.
  15. Alcohol is on my mind....... I know we aren't supposed to have it. I haven't had any in 3 months! I miss it.

    New with Questions

I had a few minutes of thinking about "not" being able to eat "normal" anymore. But then I realized, I obviously don't eat normal or I wouldn't be this big. And if I still want to taste a certain food, I CAN! I do agree with the other person who stated that this is a TOOL though. We have to make better choices for our health. It has been a great tool!! Makes it so much easier!! And like GingerRN, my knees and feet THANK ME EVERY DAY!! Even my work outs are so much easier now.....putting my shoes on is easier. LIFE is easier..........very happy customer with my new tool.

Day TWO of pre-op and :(

I was just reading a similar post and someone mentioned HOT stuff. The hot stuff is what got me through it as well. It seemed to satisfy me better.

    pre_op liquid diet. Im starving

I agree with NurseGrace, HOT stuff helped me. I was allowed tomato soup and low fat strained cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom. That is what tided me over between shakes

    What is "something nice"?

YEAH! What is a poached pear?
  20. Well thanks everyone for your responses. I did back off and I am just eating what is comfortable, which for me is about 600-800 calories a day and 70-85 grams of protein. The scales have finally decided to grace me with a negative change
  21. I went for my 4 week post op visit and I didnt know about the three week stall and I talked to the PA about my weight loss stall and she told me that I wasnt losing because I was eating too few calories. She told me I had to eat at least 1000 calories a day. I managed it for a few days, but I am back down to about 850. I am getting all the protein in, but its just so hard to get those calories right now. I am trying, but some days I don't get there, but I do get my protein in.
  22. I had a friend that was doing the HCG diet and her insurance would only pay until she got to a certain weight so she would wear sweat pants that were tight at the ankle and she wore ankle weights above the cinched in area........LOL.
