Today I booked my surgery with Dr. Fernando Garcia for 3/23/13 and I am sooooo excited!! Let the journey begin!! Anyone else have these dates??

Also, any who are already sleeved, would love to hear what to not to forget to bring with me!! Also... what "hidden" expenses $$$ should I budget for on my trip to Mexico??

And yeah, if my mom was a nurse, I'd INSIST that she go too!

Yeah that was kind of my thought process... Do you have all your ducks in a row like passport and travel scheduled?

For some reason buying the plane tickets made it seem even more "real" than making my deposit... Not sure why...

Just an FYI on exchanging currency. The best way is to use your ATM card. The hotel may have an ATM, so might the hospital. Even with an ATM fee it works out better than mist currency exchange desks Your shuttle drivers will appreciate dollar tips.

I'm having surgery with Dr. Garcia on 3/25/2103! I alternate between being excited and terrified.

Thanks for the suggestion of tipping the shuttle drivers! I probably wouldn't have thought of that.

Why? I was told that most places in TJ accept American dollars just fine because of its proximity to the border. I had not planned to exchange. Should I?
