I had glue, what ur feeling is normal. It will go away soon. I found tapping it lightly would give it that attention it needed.

The surgical glue will come off on its own in 5-10 days. Don't try to scrub it off.....let it come off on its own. Itching is pretty common in surgical wounds....usually not related to the glue.

Mine started coming off at 10-14 days. Some were kinds gross from clothes against them. If they were hanging I would take it off, when my incision was healed.

Hi my glue came off in about 7 days. Mine were itchy as well........ it was hard to keep from scratching. However, I was pretty concerned I would cause a infection. So that was a good motivation for me. Soon this will pass! Hang in there!

I was allergic to the glue. I got terrible rashes and had to take the tape off early.

Dermabond is the best. If you find its itchy, it may be from the edges lifting. Surgeons tend to apply a liberal amount to not only seal the incision but to also form a Water resistant/bacteria resistant barrier. You can simply 'trim' the edges that are peeling, but leave the base alone. If you prematurely remove it, your incision may not be well approximated and your scar will be a bit wider as a result.

Just wanted to drop in and gross everyone out :P. I had to have my surgery in Houston, 4 hours away from my hometown (very stupid insurance reason, whole 'nother story). I returned to houston for a post op visit and treated myself to a swanky hotel. When I got up in the morning my glue and scabs had came off in the bedding!! Ugh! I almost gagged! I did remove them and flush em down the toilet if that makes anyone feel better. Anyhow one incision still itches when I shower and I am 4 weeks out. Good times!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
