Curious about what sizes people are at when they are at 170-180 which is my goal. I am 5'6". Trying to figure out what sizes that I could fit into when I am at goal. I see cute things at thrift stores and I would buy some smaller sizes if I thought I could wear them eventually! I can't imagine being in a large even.....and a medium seems beyond possible :) But I thought I would ask here and see if I can get an idea!

Thanks!

I'm 193lbs now and wear size 12 pants and either XL or L tops. I'm 5-09. I have 33 more pounds until goal, so I'll be curious what size I end up. My 12 pants are about too big

All depends on your body. When My5'5" sister was 170 she was in a medium top and 12-14 jean

I'm 5'3" and 170 lbs. I am in between a 16 and a 14.

It amazes me how different we are in shapes and sizes. I have seen people my height and weight (and even heavier) saying that they are wearing 10s and 12s.

I am 5'6", 145 lbs. I wear mostly medium tops, some large and VERY occasionally small. I wear mostly size 6 pants, sometimes 4 or 8. It's amazing how much sizes vary!!

I'm 167 and 5'6" and I wear a M top and 12 pant. I carried most of my fat in my tummy area so if it was smaller I would be in a 10. I lost mostly all of my rear so 12's fit my waist but are saggy in the rear.

I'm not sure if this helps but I have found a site where you can put in height and weight and body shape and if has pictures of people that are also that size. You can also search it by sizes too. Www.mybodygallery.com

This is very interesting how different we are. I'm 5'2 and 183. I'm wearing size 16 or 14 depending on the pant. Would love love love to be a 12. I'm almost 3 months out.

I'm 5'5" (5'6" on a good day) and when I was 160 i was in size 8 dress pants and a large top. I'm pretty top heavy, and straight from the ribs down when I lose weight. Right now I'm in 18 pants and 2x top. Can't wait to get my old clothes out. They were CUTE!! ;-)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
