I found I enjoyed the Pure Protein brand powder. The Chocolate didn't taste chalky to me at all. I added PB2 powder for added protein and peanut butter flavor. You can find the Protein powder at Walmart, my Stop and shop also carried it. PB2 you can find at GNC. Good Luck!

Thank you for the response I'm so overwhelmed my surgeons submitted on Friday for approval and I got approved on Monday.. they told me my date has to be before the new year to be 100% covered so it came so fast and I had no time to plan for the pre op diet so I'm trying to run around and get everything I need! Thanks for that info,

I like Unjury you can order on line at Unjury.com..........I started with the starter pack and found the chicken soup one real helpful after surgery and the chocolate splender great every morning in my coffee

You should drink meal replacement shakes like slimfast for all 3 meals. I really enjoyed the Equate brand meal replacement shakes because they taste sooooooo good! You can also put it in a blinder with ice and make a thick ice cream type shake. its really yummy

I think the preop liquid diet was the hardest part for me, so stay positive and know it is sooo worth it!

Protein shakes will do nothing for your hunger during preop. You are just going to torture yourself.

My pre op diet was as follows:3 Premeir Protein Shakes (Costco) and one Lean Cuisine with 200 -230 calories per day. I was satisfied with this and lost one pound a day. Then clear liquids for two days prior to surgery. Good Luck with your sleeve. My surgery was on 12-12-12 and I'm doing great.

I find the unjury brand good. They have chicken soup flavor too. FYI if I were you I would get things for after surgery. That way you won't have to worry about the diet you will need after you have surgery.

The Unjury brand has 21 grams of Protein. Which is good, you don't have to have so much when you don't feel like eating or Sri king anything.

Good luck to you. My surgery was on the 10th and I feels great.

My preop paperwork specifically says NOT to use slimfast so just be sure that whatever you are getting meets the protein and caloric requirements your doctor requires.
