Hey Leona

Where are you? I know this is the MD board but that is where you are from. I'm sorry to hear about your hip. But don't think for one minute that you can't exercise. Work those arms, you can work up a sweat dancing with your arms in the air in the chair. LOL Also, resistance bands or dumbells or Soup cans, start pumping 1, 2, 3, come on. I bet you will lift that microphone.

Hey Teresita!

I'm doing much better... I started back exercising on Friday with my dance class, but I'm getting SO busy now as I am going to school full-time, working part-time, and am about to have a performance (so I'm in prep mode with tons of rehearsals)... I can eat almost anything... bread, etc, so it's been really hard keeping my meals in a good spot, but I'm doing it! At this point, I'm just getting through the next few weeks until I can get my fill (my appt is the day before turkey day, but its the only day I can do without missing school... I really don't mind liquids on that day though... I want the weight off!) I was doing arm exercises and then I got a really bad cold (the third one since sept) It seems like everytime I get better, I get sick right away again.

Oh, and I gave blood a few days ago, and they said my Iron and nutrients were high so that was good news! Other than that, I'm just looking for a new place in nyc to move to, and getting ready for my performances. My part-time job is HARD because I am teaching/tutoring elementary school kids how to read and such. The kids are NIGHTMARES!!! So I get really tired, and by the time I just leave for school at 8am and get home at 9pm or later, I'm too tired to do ANYTHING but get ready for bed. I don't know what to do, because I really don't have time to workout, but I really want to!

I'm doing well, sorry for not checking in for a while, its just been really busy!

Guess what? Everyone will be banded by time you get back. Kee is getting banded tomorrow 11.9 and Crystalstar next Monday 11.13. Crystalstar's birthday is this Saturday 11.11.

Leona you look good in your pictures so please take some. You will need them as your progression pics into your new body.

So we need to have a mushy party next month. LOL

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
