gotcha-i admit' date=' it did hurt my feelings a little at the time when i 1st met him and he said i may not qual because of my lower bmi, but that i might gain weight and later become eligible. looking back, not sure if it was a hint, fact or a jab but he didn't say it rudely. it was more matter-of-fact.

still planning on the sleeve. they really didn't discuss it much throughout my classes because everyone was going RNY-so my memory is foggy on their process. how has your experience been? i asked alexis to send me some more info.[/quote']

Yeah, I didn't hear too much on the sleeve either. In the support group, there was only one person with the sleeve but everyone is very supportive there. My experience has been great with the clinic and anytime I have questions, I just email Judy and she will call within a couple hours. I thought that was very nice. Have you got your date yet?

HI Everyone, I am in Los Gatos. I will most likely have surgery March 2013. I am seeing Dr. Pamela Foster who I adore. She is affliated with El Camino Hosp & Mills Peninsula. She has office hours in Los Gatos on most Fridays. I have been to a support group that meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at El Camino Hosp. I have actually gone several times and find it very informative. It is nice to see and hear people who have had the surgeries, and a good opportunity to meet people waiting or learning about surgery as well. The meeting is lead by the bariatric nurtritionist at El Camino. It is open to any one - you don't need to be a patient there or seen by one of their doctors. There is an informatinal session before.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
