Sydney Gal Waiting On Surgery.

Hey Aussie folks,

Im 29 and am a Sydney sider looking to share knowledge of experience with others.

My surgeon is Dr Craig Taylor of North Sydney and comes very recommended.

My partner was sleeved over 12 months ago with Dr Craig Taylor and his experience alone has encouraged me to take a life changing journey.

However, as everyone is different Im open to hear others views, experiences and opinions.

I have 2 young(ish) children and don't want them to be burdened with a lesser quality of life because of me, being tired, sore, irritable and down in the dumps.

I want/need this change with the aid of surgery to stop existing and to start living.

Hi there,

Unfortunately i haven't received my surgery date as yet. I have to wait until after I have seen the metabolic clinic at RPA and this is scheduled early Feb.

How about you?

Hey guys

What happens after the first consult with dr Craig does he send you off to get some test and do you see the psychiatrist and dietician before they give you a surgery date?

After my first consultation with Dr and you've been given the go ahead and your comfortable with your decisions you will need to see the psych and dietician you will also be required to have some bloods taken.

My initial consult was back in November, if your a little sensitive be sure to take some tissues. He tells you like it is and doesn't want to hear any excuses but its really what we all need.

Omg I'm very sensitive especially when it comes to people mentioning my weight, so thanks for the heads up, ill be sure to take tissues with me lol

And I'm hoping to go into this consult being well prepared I've written down a bunch of questions regarding pre op and post op.

I'm so happy I found this app, I find I'm more aware of what to expect.

Thank you kelly

I haven't been to any of the seminars, but would really like to go. What is the next one and when? I'll make an effort to go to it.

Really? I felt that he appreciated that I had done a lot of my own research and really didn't need to know a lot about the procedure, more about himself as a surgeon and the facility for follow up care. I think he appreciates people taking this decision seriously and if you let him know that you've been struggling for a while and aren't doing this on a whim, he will be kind to you.

I know that there is one today (17 jan) at 6:30pm but you have to call Karen and register. I'll try and find out when the next seminar is and let you guys know

Where are you from?

I haven't been' date=' but Im willing to attend if you would like a support buddy, lol. Provided that my partner is home from work to watch the kiddies.[/quote']

I live in parramatta and it would be awesome to have you as a support buddy :)
