Woke up at 6:00 am and tried to ride it out but the pain increased to being intolerable. I was vomiting due to the pain at least eight times prior and at the hospital and I never get sick that way. There was nothing in my stomach so that wasn't as bad as it could've been. I haven't had a kidney stone episode in 6 or 7 years.
When the CAT scan confirmed the stone and urine results indicated how dehydrated I was, the nurse said I had been that way for awhile due to not getting enough fluids. I'm two months post op. Let this be a lesson to me.
Spent my Thanksgiving in bed sleeping on prescriptions. And my thank you for this holiday is toradol taking me out of such pain, and a huge reminder to increase my fluids.
