What Should I Take To The Hospital?

My surgery is Tuesday and I've been getting together what I think I'll need for my stay. Gas x strips, mouth spray, extension cord for cell charger, besides the normal toiletries. Am I forgetting anything?

Slippers and a robe. Most important to walk walk walk after surgery to get rid of the gas pain. Good luck to you, you don't need much at all. I was just sleeved on Monday. Good luck.

If you are on a CPAP machine be sure and take it or they will send you back for it. Take some big, stretchy pants to wear home. Good luck!

There is a whole thread on here dedicated to "what you will need for VSG surgery." Check out the main page of the forums.

Good Luck!

I'm bringing ear plugs and my own pillow.

I way over packed don't make my mistake lol because then I had this giant bag to lug home and I didn't even use 95 percent of it. I bought PJs, a robe, shampoo and deodorant (though they had a shower in my room but I was in way too much pain to use it) tooth brush. Didn't use any of it. They have me a basket with tooth brush wash rags etc things like that. They give you socks. The only things I used from my bag where chap stick, a hair tie my phone and iPod charger. That was it. Don't over pack lol

Oh but I WISH I had packed an eye mask!!! I was in recovery for the first 24 hours and could have used a mask because it was so bright. Might be helpful.
